Mounjaro is a medication that can help lower blood sugar and promote weight loss. It is used in adults with type 2 diabetes, but may also be helpful for overweight individuals who have difficulty losing weight despite a healthy lifestyle. Mounjaro decreases appetite, making it easier to reduce food intake. This medication is most effective when combined with a balanced diet, sufficient physical activity, and a healthy lifestyle. The effect varies from person to person: some see results quickly, while for others it takes longer. Mounjaro is available by prescription only and is administered by subcutaneous injection.

Each pen contains 4 doses. This medicine is available in several dosages. Each dosage is supplied in a package containing a pre-filled pen with disposable needles (1 pen = 4 doses).

Mounjaro contains tirzepatide, a substance that mimics the action of the body's natural hormones. These hormones help lower blood sugar by stimulating insulin release and decreasing appetite. Thus, Mounjaro can help stabilize blood sugar and potentially reduce body weight. This medication is most effective when combined with a healthy diet and regular physical activity.
